HEAT PUMP REPAIR SERVICE
A heat pump is a system consisting of two parts: one indoor unit called an air handler and an outdoor unit that is similar to an air conditioning unit. In the winter, a heat pump will pull in air, taking advantage of the heat generating, and transfer it inside. During the summer season, it reverses and cools the air (in the manner of an air conditioner), taking heat from inside your structure outside. A significant advantage of using a heat pump is that it is more energy efficient than a traditional system. This is because it moves heat, it does not generate.
Although heat pumps are known for their efficiency and how well they generally run, they can, on occasion, create costly problems. It is important that at the first signs of a problem, you call in an HVAC repair professional who has the qualifications to inspect, maintain and-or repair a commercial heat pump.
Signs that you might need to call our heat pump repair team sooner rather than later include:
• Your heat pump is making unusual noises, such as rattling.
• It is switching on and off too frequently.
• It is suddenly not producing sufficient heat or no heat whatsoever.
• You notice that your heating bills increased significantly.
It is always advisable – just as with other systems in your building – to have it regularly serviced and maintained, especially if you are experiencing any of the symptoms mentioned above. Even a strong heat pump will likely run into a problem at some point in its life.
